Alrahallah Theater Berlin from the beginning focused on the communication methods that would be used in their work – training with groups. Let’s say that during the pandemic period when everything was closed, also in their theater they stopped to meet with their groups… in that moment there came the idea to use a new method of communication: the new platforms as Zoom or Google so started again to connect with their groups but this time online, of course ;-).
Germany as all Europe started to develop seriously and invest more on new methods of communication and using the spaces of Social media and digital platforms to be as a solution that in the end proved to have advantages and disadvantages.
At this point they swiched to the idea of how to develop a method where the Youth can be active and participate in the developing process in a way that could be an effective communicative method.
So Alrahallah Theater Berlin started brain-storming with their groups about what they want to share in the project „Radio Shabab Berlin”. Their idea was to start to discuss Social Themes from the point of view of the youth in Berlin. From recording to sharing with public…by using the social platforms as Facebook,
Instagram, Tiktok, etc…
It’s very important that the young people as a future leaders express their needs and thoughts. As we are living in an open society full of possibilities during the free time. The Radio project is the first project in Berlin used as Intercultural Radio that is producing materials in different languages as German, English, Arabic.
The Topics that are discussed until now are: Free time and social cultural activities, Drugs, the Image of woman in social Media, Bulling, Sexual Education, Neutrality, beside different social topic important for the Community.
And then there is the question of podcast content and storytelling. Sometimes, it is not just about telling a good story, but also how to organize the information so it hooks the listeners, surprises them, and tugs at their emotions all at once.
Beside that, we take in consideration to use the Radio as an instrument to promote our local and international experience with Erasmus plus and to give the possibility to the participants to express their experience while participating in Youth exchanges and training courses, to be as a good change to motivate the other Young to participants in our future projects. So our goal is to connect our
Radio in the future with an activity of Erasmus plus, so to connect our experience with the Community and focus more on the themes discussed in each exchange program.
